Our Optical Center

Choosing the right eyeglasses is a very important part of meeting your visual needs and with so many choices available it can be overwhelming. Our experienced opticians will help you select eyewear that best meets both your vision and fashion needs. To get you started on the right path here are some of the basics you will need to know.

Frames

Our office carries many different sizes, shapes, colors, and materials to best fit your personal style, including Nike, Prada, Dolce and Gabbana, Giorgio Armani, Ellen Tracy, J-Lo, Bebe, Donna Karan, and Geoffrey Beene. We have a large selection of frames with clip-on sunglasses as well as non-prescription sunglasses, including Prada and Dolce and Gabbana.

Lenses

Our office offers single vision, lined bifocal and trifocal, and progressive lenses to meet your individual visual needs. Along with standard plastic lenses you may choose from high index plastic or polycarbonate lenses that allow for thinner and
lighter weight eyeglasses. Polycarbonate also offers better impact resistance for improved safety.

Customizing Your Eyeglasses

Our experienced opticians can help you choose the right lens options to best fit your lifestyle, including scratch resistance to improve the durability of the lens. Here are some of your options:

  • An anti-reflective coating reduces reflections on lenses to help reduce glare and halos which greatly benefits night driving and computer work. They also provide an improved cosmetic appearance.

  • Prescription computer glasses help reduce eye strain caused by prolonged computer use.

  • Ultraviolet protection blocks harmful UVA and UVB rays and can be added to a plastic as a clear coating.

  • Photochromic, or transition, are clear lenses that darken when exposed to sunlight and provide an alternative to having 2 pair of glasses.

  • Polarized sunglasses filter sunlight reflections from surfaces (snow, water) to improve visual comfort
    outdoors.

  • Safety glasses are available to provide extra protection when working in high-risk environments.

  • Sports glasses, including goggles and specialty tinted lenses, add durability and flexibility for anyone needing improved vision to enhance their athletic performance.
